Did I hear that right? We've pledged £500m a year to help developing nations combat climate change!

Unbelievable. We're in a recession (or are we?) and as we try to rein in Government spending, Big Gord goes and pledges £500m a year to help developing nations combat climate change. £500m! A year!

Now I'm not entirely convinced about climate change, but I do understand we are in a financial mess. Noble gesture I'm sure, but these funds could well be spent within our own economy or even taken straight off the deficit itself.
